Writers Wanted! The Ontario Society of Senior Citizens Organizations (OSSCO)

The Ontario Society of Senior Citizens Organizations (OSSCO) received a grant from the New Horizons for Seniors program to give Ontario seniors the opportunity to share stories about their lives.  LIVES LIVED: STORIES NORTH OF 50 is a program which both teaches seniors how to tell their stories (through our 4-6 week workshop) and encourages story submissions from seniors living throughout the province.

The submissions can be a written short story of up to 1000 words, a poem, or a memoir, or group of photos reflecting your personal view on aging and life’s journeys.  Stories selected by OSSCO’s Peer Review Committee will be included in a book scheduled for publication early in 2019.

I have attached an updated flyer in PDF format that includes all the needed information.  Please pass along this information to your senior members (via your website, social media accounts, bulletin boards, etc.) in the hope that some will participate.

Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me by email at at education2@ocsco.ca or by phone at 416-785-8570
