Guelph General Hospital Requests Homemade Masks and Caps

Guelph General Hospital Foundation has issued a challenge to those who sew. They are seeking cloth face masks for approved visitors who enter GGH as well as their discharged patients. You can drop off completed masks at Linamar on Woodlawn Rd W or McTague Street. Visit the GGH Foundation Sewing Mask Challenge web page for more detailed instructions about how to participate.
Some GGH employees have also asked for homemade surgical caps. You can find the pattern and a tutorial for the surgical caps here.  A local Facebook group is coordinating the surgical cap efforts and may be able to answer questions you have:
Lens Mill is closed to the public but they are offering kits for masks, caps, and protective gowns for online purchase. The Waterloo Chronicle covered their efforts.
