Seniors Offering Support provides a variety of supports to older adults and their caregivers. Staff and volunteers collaborate with the network of service providers to strengthen the capacity of the community to address issues of concern to older adults.

Services include:

  • Telephone visiting: Senior peer supported telephone visiting for isolated seniors.
  • Education: Education session for older adults and their caregivers provided through collaboration with community, business, health and academic research partners.
  • Support and Referral: CSS staff and Senior Peer Advocates provide support to older adults and their caregivers to navigate, connect to and access support systems.

Program participants will experience less isolation, greater connection to their community and support to manage everyday problems related to aging and living independently. Education session will provide participants with evidence based information from reputable and reliable sources to address issues related to health, successful aging, risk and mistreatment of older adults.
