The GWSA has approved a new activity group. You may be interested in this fun opportunity to meet new people and learn a fascinating and useful skill!
Traditional rug hooking is both an art & a craft where rugs, wall hangings & many different types of decorative and functional objects are made by pulling loops of fabric or yarn through a stiff, woven base such as burlap, linen or rug warp. The loops are pulled through by using a crochet-type hook that is mounted on a wooden handle. It is an enjoyable, fun and very social hobby.
The Rug Hooking group meets Tuesdays, 12:00–4:00 pm in Room 2 at the Evergreen Centre. New participants are welcome!
Instructions on how you can register in the group are on our Activity Page. https://gwsa-guelph.ca/activities/
