SENIORS CO-PAY PROGRAM: UPDATED INCOME THRESHOLDS
The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care has developed communications materials to promote awareness of the change to income thresholds under Seniors Co-Pay Program, and encourage eligible seniors to apply.
Seniors enrolled in the Seniors Co-Payment Program pay no annual deductible and a co-payment of up to $2 for each prescription. As a result, they can save approximately $130 on average per year in out-of-pocket drug costs.
The income thresholds have been updated to:
· Single senior – an income of less than or equal to $19,300; or
· Senior couple – a combined income of less than or equal to $32,300.
